Bear Grease reimagines the iconic 1971 musical Grease through a bold and comedic native lens. With a rip-roaring score by Crystle Lightning and Henry Cloud Andrade, and direction by Crystle Lightning, this all-Indigenous musical parody infuses hip-hop and comedy into a pow wow-powered love story that’s equal parts hilarious homage and cultural celebration. Captivating audiences across North America Bear Grease has had over 200 successful performances over 4 incredible years, and is now only the 2nd all-Indigenous musical to ever debut Off-Broadway. 

The beloved songs of Grease are revitalized with vibrant cultural expression and Cree (Nêhiyawêwin) language: “Hopelessly Devoted” becomes a soul-stirring round dance, “Bear Grease Lightning” bursts with Traditional, Grass, Chicken, and Fancy footwork, and “Wichihin” delivers a powerful new take on “Stand by Me”.

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, comedian-turned-actor DeRay Davis can most recently be "scene" and heard in the blockbuster mega hit 21 Jump Street, Jumping the Broom and his wildly successful Showtime 1 hour Comedy Special, DeRay Davis: Power Play. He lends his voice and writing talent to countless characters on Kanye Wests Albums the BoonDocks and currently on Adult Swims Black Dynamite!

DeRay, developed and honed a hip, sardonic, streetwise mentality at an early age and parlayed it 

smoothly and efficiently into the comedy-club circuit. Davis achieved his career breakthrough at the Laffapalooza Festival in Atlanta, GA, then scored a triple whammy by winning the Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition and landing covetable spots in the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival and the Cedric the Entertainer Festival. Throughout, the comic wove vulgar and droll, yet also telling and deeply personal, routines around the subjects of race, poverty, and his challenging experiences growing up in the Windy City projects with a dysfunctional African-American family.

The transition from behind-the-mike spots to movie roles represented a relatively short jump, for 

most of Davis' early film assignments emphasized the same subject matter as his routines; for example, he played the "Hustle Guy" in Barbershop (2002) and its sequel, Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004), rapper Mario "Fa Real" Greene in the Martin Short comedy Jiminy Glick in La La Wood (2004), and a Jamaican stoner in Johnson Family Vacation (2004). Davis expanded his genre focus with roles in Rupert Wainwright's supernatural horror outing The Fog (2005), and Todd Phillips' comedy remake School for Scoundrels (2006). Subsequent feature assignments include License to Wed (2007), Semi-Pro (2008, as basketball player Bee Bee Ellis), and Imagine That (2009). Life As We Know it and Old Dogs. Davis also appeared on television series including Entourage and Reno 911!, and televised comedy revues such as Comedy Central's Premium Blend. Jordan headlines sold-out shows across the country and tours with Tom Segura. She amassed over a million followers across her social media platforms and has nearly 1.3 million views on her YouTube special. Jordan has built a strong digital following alongside her podcasts — co-hosting the fan-favorite “Bein’ Ian with Jordan” and hosting her own, “RIP Jordan Jensen.”

Comedy legend Martin Lawrence will headline his first national arena tour since 2016, kicking off Saturday, July 20. The “Y’all Know What It Is!” tour will head to nearly 40 cities across the U.S. through April 2025. The tour is set to launch soon after the June 7 release of the highly anticipated Bad Boys: Ride or Die feature film, co-starring Will Smith. 

“Y’all Know What It Is!” is an all-new stand-up show and fresh one hour set where Martin brings the real talk and finds the funny in everything from family to culture as only he can. Special guests have been personally hand-picked by Martin and are some of the hottest comedians on the mic including Adele Givens, B. Dyon “Mojo” Brooks is an actor, writer, producer, and nationally acclaimed stand-up comedian that can currently be seen as the male lead for Tyler Perry’s MISS GOVERNOR on Netflix alongside the legendary Terri J Vaughn and Jo Marie Payton, the series held a multiple-week Top 10 for following its debut. The film is a love letter to his Filipino roots and is loosely based on Jo Koy's life experiences and stand-up comedy. Easter Sunday was produced by Steven Spielberg’s production company Amblin Partners and is the first motion picture film to feature an all-Filipino cast and be produced by a major studio. In honor of the film, Daly City gave Jo the Keys To The City and declared July 22nd “Jo Koy Day.” 

In 2023, Koy appeared in Disney’s Haunted Mansion and voiced characters in Netflix’s animated films, Monkey King and Leo. In 2024, he was most recently heard voicing the character Monkey King in the Paramount+ film, The Tiger’s Apprentice. He’s also appeared in Netflix’s Mr. Iglesias and Comedy Central’s Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens. He’ll next been heard voicing Datu in the upcoming Dreamworks Animation film, Forgotten Island in theaters September 25th, 2026.
